The Bottle Opener
I made a bottle opener for this project. The other day I was with a bunch of friends and we had bottles that needed to be opened and when I went to open one I could not because we did not have a bottle opener, Then I thought about it, and I don't own one at all, so I figured I would make one in the forge. I have also been trying out a bunch of new projects using the forge and I wanted to continue to develop my skill blacksmithing. The bottle opener simply just opens bottle for you. This was meaningful to make for me because I wanted to learn ho to do it so I can make one for my family later on.
I first started out with a piece of metal, and then I put it in the forge to heat it up. Then I took the hammer and curved the sides of the metal. Then I chiseled a hole out of the metal and just tried to make it as big as I needed. Then I flattened the top part of the circle. Next I made an indentation that comes out a little that catches the lid of the bottle to ultimately pop it off.
